Opherla was the kind of girl that was willing to help out anyone. Anytime, anywhere, if you needed some help, then Opherla would give you the help you needed without hesitation or complaint.
Such was the situation on one particular day, as Opherla got a call from someone needing help building a home for someone else, and the deadline was fastly approaching. Opherla hadn't exactly helped with this kind of stuff before, but no better time than now to learn how to do it! Opherla would dash out to the location in West City the person called from, ready as ever to help them build the new place of residence.
Opherla arrived to see all the building supplies for the job had already been purchased and were there. That was a great start. The problem? Not even the foundation was laid for the site. Opherla groaned as she saw this, knowing that it was gonna take a hell of a lot of work, a hell of a lot of time, and maybe a miracle to get this project done by the date the homeowner wanted it done. Well. It was time to get started, as Opherla discussed with the other builders the plan for the foundation. Once the plan was understood, Opherla immediately got onto laying the foundation of the home, doing it quickly, yet precisely as well so that there wouldn't be any need to go back and fix it. The foundation was laid pretty quickly, but Opherla had done it herself. The other workers were still talking about the building. Opherla groaned. One of these types of building teams. No wonder things weren't anywhere near done when she arrived. Opherla had a sneaking suspicion that was going to be a pattern for the entirety of this construction project. And she HOPED she was wrong.
However, during the next few phases of the build, Opherla was more than right. As she did most of the manual labor, the workers just kept on talking and chatting and drinking their stupid coffee, while meanwhile, Opherla and a scant few who were there were pulling the weight! Opherla grit her teeth as she saw the frustration in the eyes of the other workers she was with too, as they seemed to have dealt with this for far too long on their own experience and time. This was enough to make Opherla snap. Everything was ready to start putting up the outer walls of the house, but the workers said it was time for a lunch break. A lunch break!? Only an hour and a half into the job? No, this was the final straw!
"HEY!!!" Opherla exclaimed at the lazy workers as she stopped working and dropped down. "Are you lazy asses seriously just gonna sit there and jack your jaws all day instead of work!? You had this house to build and the reason you're in this predicament is because you're all LAZY! Lazy, I tell you! I came by to help, not to build this myself! I'm leaving for today, and unless you guys seriously change by the time I come back tomorrow, then I'm not helping any of you with this building! You're all on your own, you all can deal with the fallout!" Opherla yelled in ferocious anger before she took off, heated and angry about the lack of work ethic in the people she just ditched.
She used this anger to train a bit in the Gizard Wasteland, smashing rock formations and boulders to take out her fierce rage she felt towards all the lazy workers she had just told off moments ago, as she remembered a time when she was in that phase, where stuff was too easy and she wanted to become lazy because of the easiness of things. That period was short, but it burned deep in Opherla's mind because it was a time she could have been working on her Saiyan potential, and instead, she was lazing about eating pizza bites and popcorn all day! That was a period Opherla was NOT proud of, as it infuriated her so much despite how short it was that she unleashed a burst of ki that leveled a rocky structure, as suddenly, the full moon came out, as Opherla willingly looked at it!
"I NEED TO UNLEASH MY RAGE! POWER ME UP, MOON!!!!" Opherla yelled in anger as she howled, Lycan Fury taking full effect as she razed and attacked the Gizard Wasteland all through the night, to unleash the rage she felt of the laziness this world has made some people.
The next day came around soon enough, as a tired Opherla rubbed her eyes and took a drink of coffee she got from a West City coffee shop. She never drank coffee up until now, but she desperately needed it, taking a sip and dreading what she might find as she headed to the building site to help the workers finish. Suddenly, her eyes were amazed to see the outside shape of the house was almost finished! What was once a foundation was now a constructed outside frame, with the crew ready to get inside work done! Opherla gave a whoop as she downed her coffee and dashed down to the crew, her energy fully back as she laughed and smiled.
"This is what I'm talking about!" Opherla smiled as the workers all greeted her with a smile and praise for her pep talk yesterday, as Opherla smiled. "Alright gents, let's get some damn work done! At this rate we might just finish this house!" Opherla said with a smile.
And so, the next phase was on, at a much faster pace than yesterday. The crew and Opherla began laying the inside boards of the house, while also running the electrical wires around and making sure they were ran properly, installing outlets and switches while also getting the inside framing done of the house, as it was a two story house, which meant they needed to properly construct a floor. As opposed to yesterday, when Opherla and a few of the other guys were doing the work, today, everyone was pitching in! Everyone was doing their part to help get this building finished! Possibly today!
"Yeah-ha-ha! Proper working pace now, gents! This is some great training!" Opherla smiled as she was utilizing her martial arts some to help transfer materials to workers, whether it was using her ki based flight, doing precise cuts (or breaks) on boards, or moving stuff faster to other workers! Opherla was in a groove, as she was working at a much better pace than yesterday thanks to not being the only one on the job this time, which helped everyone work at a fine pace!
When lunch break came around, the man heading the operation handed the money and order slip to Opherla. "Take it kid, you've put in the most work. We'll work until you get back with all the orders, savvy?" The head of the project said with a smile.
"Thanks boss! I'll be right back with all the food!" Opherla said with a wide grin as she headed to one of West City's best fast food joints to get the food quickly.
It wasn't long after Opherla was sent off that she came back, the crew nearly done with all the framing of the house, hell, it was nearly COMPLETELY done, as Opherla landed with the food for all the workers. Given the work that EVERYONE was putting in, NOW it was time for a proper lunch break for everyone. Opherla couldn't help but enjoy her food and smile, looking at the progress that had been made since her pep talk to these once lazy workers yesterday. A small sense of pride filled up in Opherla, recognizing that she was the one who had motivated these guys to get off their asses and get this done. And now look at it, except for the stairs and a few finishing touches, like paint, lights, and stairs to the second floor, the house was nearly completed! The prospect made Opherla smile, as she knew she was a huge part of making this happen.
After collecting and disposing of everyone's trash, Opherla got back into helping the workers do what needed to be done for the rest of the house, as evening was starting to close in. Suddenly, just as the sun was about to set, Opherla and the crew were done! Completely! The house was ready for the people who bought the land to move into!
"Hey, kid. Thanks for the pep talk." The head of the project smiled. "We woulda never had the fire lit under our ass without your words of motivation. Even if they were blunt."
"I'm just glad you didn't downright quit on me after I blew my top." Opherla smiled as she nodded at the head of the project. "But you're welcome, sir. And don't worry about paying me. Helping out West City is the best payment I could ever ask for."
Opherla would soon take off, but not before stopping as she looked at the completed house, finished in only two days as she smiled at the hard work put in by all the parties on it. "Yep… whoever moves into here… is gonna live in a nice house. A very nice house." Opherla remarked before she flew back to her own home. She knew that living on rent wouldn't last forever… one of these days… she was gonna have to buy herself her own home. Her own place to live. After all, that was probably the best way she could think of to improve herself, having her own home with her own fancy training gear to help her get even stronger!
